| A John Deere Concave has 11 inches of thrash separation while the Kuchar Concave has 24 and a half inches of separation. The Kuchar Concave is wider between bars in the front and narrower between the bars in the back for better thrash and separating. John Deere sets their concave on the 2nd and 8th bar. Kuchar sets the concave on the 1st and last bar. Kuchar's is a true circle Concave. |

| Kuchar Finger Grate has more of a slant in the front than the John Deere cell grate. It drops material below the center of the cylinder for a more positive feed to the beater. John Deere drops their material above the center of the cylinder which creates back feed over te cylinder, therefore cutting power and capacity. |

| John Deere only has four risers per Walker while Kuchar has six risers per Walker. They sit in the center of the Walker to move and tear the material apart. Material moves twice as fast in the center of the Walker than it does on the outside edges for better seperation and less grain loss over the Walker. |
